Market introduction:

The oil and gas industry covers the entire industrial chain of upstream (exploration, development, production), midstream (storage and transportation) and downstream (refining, chemical and sales), and has a huge market volume. As a traditional oil and gas producer and consumer, Indonesia has huge oil and gas reserves and infrastructure renewal needs. Despite the energy transition, oil and gas will remain the backbone of its energy mix for a long time to come. In order to reduce its dependence on refined oil imports, the Indonesian government is vigorously promoting the upgrade of domestic refineries and new projects (such asGRR Refining and chemical projects), there is strong demand for downstream technical equipment. The secondary development of many marginal oil fields and mature oil fields has provided numerous opportunities for oilfield technical service companies.

As Southeast Asia's second-largest oil producer, Indonesia has one of the most developed natural gas infrastructures in the region. Currently, there are more than 100 oil and gas basins across the country, covering upstream and downstream exploration, production and export activities. However, in recent years, volatility in global oil prices, aging infrastructure and stricter environmental regulations have put the entire industry under pressure. Companies are working hard to improve safety standards and operational sustainability while ensuring production efficiency. To remain competitive, Indonesia's energy companies are accelerating digital transformation and safety technology innovation. Technologies such as remote monitoring systems, predictive maintenance tools, and smart safety equipment have gradually become the new standard for oil and gas operations. This transformation process also places higher demands on professional suppliers. As the government continues to promote oil and gas exploration and infrastructure investment, and accelerates green transformation, Indonesia's energy industry is ushering in new development opportunities. Companies that can combine innovation and sustainability will take the lead in future markets.
